主題
生活如常，在這一個當代下，能夠做到生活如常是多麽奢侈，還是如常般的如常，如何說明生活如常各有定義， 關心的內容亦各有不同，本展覽嘗試以五個不同切入點，作為生活如常的開始， 以生活的本源， 致生活微細的事項，作為這個展覽基本。
他們當中，有人關心‘’輕不著地‘’的陌生感， 如何面對及審視人生， 是日常般的面對日常嗎。有人描述自己怎樣如常般用「智能手機」逃離生活。 亦有人在意生活中所遇到的風景， 是反映記憶中周遭的感受。 另個人所關心的生活， 是如果一張飯盒相片代表相機食先， 那麼十四年的飯盒相片又代表什麼。 而最後一位， 把生活視之為固定的模式， 與此同時， 這一種固定的模式亦具有可塑造的變化。
上述的幾種生活如常， 是某一種生活如常的部分， 同時亦都是他們自身下，生活如常的全部， 而他們所進行的，是某一種藝術生態下，所反映的生活如常。
Statement
“Life as usual”, in this contemporary age, how extravagant it is to be able to live as usual, or to live a usual life as usual. How do we explain that there are many facets of “life as usual”, each bearing a differing context? This exhibition attempts to define “life as usual” via 5 different entry points , with the origin of life itself and trivial matters of living as the foundation.
Among the exhibiting artists, one is concerned about the lightness of strangeness in the confrontation and examination of life in her usual way. Another describes the usual manifestation of life being escaped, via the indispensable smart phones. A third one is attracted to the scenery she encounters in reflections and memories of life. The fourth one, on the other hand, questions “if life is ‘letting the camera have the first bite’ for every meal one takes, what then is the meaning of the photo shots of lunch boxes taken over 14 years?” The last one sees life as fixed patterns, consisting of variations that can be shaped and moulded in the course of its development.
The above are all elements of the usuals, and each can be the whole concept of living lives as usual under the individual artist’s own perspective. What they are reflecting, is their own “life as usual” under a certain artistic ecology.

木苗子 : 創作概念和簡介
木苗子生於香港，於2016年完成中大校外進修課程舉辦的第二十四屆中國水墨畫文憑課程-山水畫組。由於對國畫的濃厚興趣，於是2018再修讀中大校外進修課程舉辦的新水墨文憑課程，了解更多現代水墨的知識及獲得創作靈感。
生活每天皆是重覆練習、修訂、變化。可多可少，可見可不覺曉。生活如常，沈澱中找變化，變化中找確定。大家可在我的天空下，看看我的生活日常
Artist Statement & Biography of 木苗子
Born in Hong Kong, 木苗子completed a diploma course in Chinese Ink Painting (landscape) at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUSCS) in 2016. Thereafter she has growing interests in Chinese paintings. In order to get more inspiration and knowledge for art creation, she completed a diploma programme in New Ink Art organized by CUSCS from 2018 to 2021.
Life is repeated daily cycles of practicing, modifying, and evolving. Maybe more, maybe less, maybe visible, maybe not. Life as usual, let the mind rest, and search for changes from which certainty can be found. Come and see my daily living portrayed under my sky.

馮淑霞 : 創作概念和簡介
馮淑霞香港出生, 主修繪畫及素描, 並於2003年畢業於澳洲皇家墨爾本理工大學 (與香港藝術中心藝術學院合辦) 完成學士純藝術課程主修繪畫和於2013年畢業於香港嶺南大學完成實踐哲學碩士學位. 於2021年完成中文大學校外進修部現代新水墨文憑課程. 並於1994 年作品入選「當代香港藝術雙年展」。她曾參與多個在公共空間和私人畫廊的聯合展覽, 作品獲私人収藏. 馮淑霞的作品是一系列畫作取材於日常生活, 日常的東西和外出旅遊的記憶感受.
近年在不確定和混亂的日子下, 我們要面對生活如常, 如常生活並不容易. 世界變了或是我們變了? 藝術創作可讓我們重新思考生活的意義和矛盾. 馮淑霞的創作的元素多來自日常生活, 如生活上的小物件, 平淡如日常, 但重構日常生活的景物, 從不同角度由有限之形進入無限之美, 從抽象創作中表達最真實的自我和自由精神.
Artist Statement & Biography of Yvette Fung
Yvette Fung born in Hong Kong, she got training major in western painting graduated with bachelor of Art (Fine Art), major in painting from RMIT University (associated with The Art School of Hong Kong) in year 2003 and completed Master of Arts in Practical Philosophy from Lingnan University in year 2013. And had completed Diploma programme in New Ink Art at CUSCS at year 2021. Her work was selected for the [Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition] at year 1994. She has joined group exhibitions at public art space and gallery. Her works had been collected by private collector. Yvette like to work a series of painting that are captured from her daily lives, daily thing and memory of her traveling around.
Recently we lived in uncertain and disorders situations. When we are uneasy to live as usual. World had been changed or We are changed? The process of creation let us face the contradictions and reconsider the meanings of our lives. Yvette Fung always gets inspirations from daily living. Such as little objects of daily life, recreate the objects from finite to infinite and aesthetic forms, through which express her true self and spiritual freedom

冼璧賢 : 創作概念和簡介
冼璧賢先後於中文大學及澳洲皇家墨爾本理工大學取得理學士及純藝術碩士。並於中文大學專業進修學院修畢中國水墨畫高等文憑、文化管理文憑及新水墨文憑課程。曾參與香港、中國大陸、台北及南韓展覽。
自小對科學及宇宙世界充滿好奇，冼氏的作品常從科學論述汲取靈感，並把微觀世界及浩瀚宇宙重設，引導觀者跳出日常思維的框框，重新觀看及感受日常世界。冼氏的作品常帶著怪異性和開放性，從而讓觀者可以自由思考週遭的轉變。
基本的日常其存在本相並沒有「秩序」、「章法」和「意義」的保證，當認知與現實世界之間存在落差，每每教人有「輕不著地」的陌生感。今次展覽嘗試叩問幾個問題：
如誠實地面對日常，人還能一貫地理直氣壯嗎？
當深刻地審視日常，會察覺如卡繆所説人生的本質就是荒謬嗎？
倘如薜西弗斯般面對日常，積極並保持思考就能找到自愈的力量嗎？
Artist Statement & Biography of Peggy Sin
Peggy Sin has achieved BSc with the CUHK and MFA with RMIT, Australia. She has also completed the Advanced Diploma Programme in Chinese Ink Painting, Diploma Programme in Cultural Management and Diploma Programme in New Ink Art at CUSCS. She has exhibited at public art space and gallery in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and South Korea.
Peggy has been full of wonders about science and the universe since childhood, so her works often draw inspiration from scientific discourse. The body of artworks which resulted from this enquiry are paintings, which are enigmatic and allude to the universe at both micro and macro levels. Peggy’s works often carry eccentricity and exhibit a large degree of openness. It is the artist’s passionate wish to invite the viewer to move freely in and out around the work, thereby to leave them to think out of the box and reflect on the changes that are happening around us.
As we know, there is no guarantee of "order", "rules" and "meaning " in the basic existence of everyday life. When there is a gap between cognition and the real world, a sense of absurdity will arise. We are left unambiguously to contemplate and reflect on our everyday life. If we face the everyday life honestly, can a person still be dogmatic? When taking a deep look at the everyday life, will we realize that the essence of life is absurd as Albert Camus said? If we lead the everyday life like Sisyphus, could we touch a stop and find the power to breathe life?

謝諾麟 : 創作概念和簡介
謝諾麟，畢業於澳洲皇家墨爾本理工大學獲藝術文學士（純藝術）學位(2007)及嶺南大學獲實踐哲學文學碩士學位(2018)；作品由思考「循環」(生活)及身體對此課題的回應開始，及後找尋對自身要求的定義，和伸展主題至外間事物與自身關係之間的影響，現(2018)主要思考「我」這個主體和外界之間的關係，如何投影至我和萬有之間的關係，亦成為了這階段的主要創作概念 : ”意義網絡”。謝氏擅長以不同的媒介表達其概念，包括裝置、攝影等。他曾參展及策劃多個本地展覽，並於二零一零年至二零一二年間，三次獲藝術發展局資助舉辦個人展覽。作品為機構、學院及私人收藏。
謝氏同時為藝評人，以創作的實踐經驗作為藝評的基礎，他以個別藝術家為單位，關注他們的創作和發展方向，以及他們與香港藝術生態環境的相互關係和影響，近年亦開始分析藝術用語上的定義。其文章於2013年至2015年間不定期刊登於文匯報，及2015年至今不定期刊登於像素麵包。
Artist Statement & Biography of Tse Lok Lun
Tse Lok Lun, graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art (2007) and Lingnan University with a Master of Art in Practical Philosophy (2018). Tse’s works start from circularity (Daily Life) and the body’s response to it, and then look for the definition of his body’s requirements. After this, the focus point on the relationship between the external world and himself, and now (2018) meditate on the relationship between the subject of "I" and the outside world, how to project this relationship to everything, and it become the main concept of his artwork, the “meaning network”. He specialises in various media including installation and photography. He has participated in and curated numerous exhibitions in Hong Kong. Between 2010 and 2012, he organised 3 solo exhibitions through grant support by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Some of his artworks have been collected by the Institutional collection, Academy collection and private collectors.
TSE is also an art critic, and uses the practical experience of creation as the basis of art criticism. He focuses on the art making and development of individual artists, as well as the relationship and mutual influence between those artists and the art ecology of Hong Kong. The article was published in Wan Wei Pao from 2013 to 2015, and has been published in the text Pixel bread (An Art Platform) from 2015 to the present.

王悠覓 : 創作概念和簡介
王悠覓(原名譚佩玲)生於香港，曾在香港公營醫院擔任護理前線及行政工作逾 30 年。 2000年開始探索並逐漸沉迷於藝術。20年內，她曾接受素描、繪畫、書法、陶瓷、攝影、和木刻版畫的培訓，至2021年，她已完成香港中文大學專業進修學院舉辦的中國水墨（山水）文憑（2013-2016）和新水墨藝術文憑（2018-2021）及香港大學專業進修學院舉辦的視覺藝術文憑 (2017-2019)。王氏是2019年成立的The Art Club的會長。她也是2021年成立的香港新水墨藝術協會的創始人之一。
王氏喜歡描述生活。 她的大部分作品都是普通人日常生活的反映。 是次展出作品均屬於《擺脫》系列的岩彩畫作。
Artist Statement & Biography of WANG You Mi
Born in Hong Kong, and formerly known as Eliza Tam, YouMi has been working as a nurse and nurse manager in Hong Kong public hospitals for over 30 years. She established her exploration and subsequently indulgence in art since 2000. Within 20 years, she has attained training in drawing, painting, calligraphy, ceramics photography, as well as woodblock printing. By 2021, she has completed 3 diplomas in art studies: diplomas in Chinese Ink Painting (landscape) (2013-2016) and New Ink Art (2018-2021) organized by the School of Continuing and Professional Studies of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and diploma in Visual Arts (2017-2019) organized by HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education. YouMi is the president of The Art Club set up in 2019. She is also one of the co-founders of the Hong Kong New Ink Art Association established in 2021.
YouMi loves describing life. Most of her artworks are reflections of the daily life of ordinary people. Artworks exhibited in “Life as usual” are selected from her new series of mineral pigment paintings named “E
scape”.
